Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your Player Portal account (published by Team Portals, a BTR company) and the data associated with it, and how to request deletion of specific data without closing your account.

Option 1 — Delete your account in the app

  1. Open the Player Portal app and sign in.
  2. From your dashboard, open the menu (the ☰ icon in the top corner).
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the menu and tap Delete Account.
  4. Tap OK on the confirmation prompt.

Your account is closed immediately and you are signed out. Deletion of the associated data begins right away and completes within 30 days.

Option 2 — Ask us to delete your account

Email info@playerportal.app from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my Player Portal account”. Include your full name and, if you have one, your team name so we can find the right record. We may ask you to confirm from that email address before we delete anything. Requests are completed within 30 days.

Delete some of your data without deleting your account

You can remove individual photos, videos, documents and posts inside the app at any time. To have us delete specific data for you — for example uploaded media, documents, messages, stats or profile fields — email info@playerportal.app and tell us what you would like removed. Your account stays open.

What is deleted

  • Profile information: name, email address, phone number, city and state, date of birth, school and graduation year, positions, height and weight, jersey number and profile summaries.
  • Your profile photo, and the photos, videos and documents you uploaded.
  • Posts, chat messages, goals, stats and coach notes tied to your athlete profile.
  • Your sign-in identity and account identifiers, including your bag tag link.
  • Push notification identifiers held by our notification provider.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Payment and subscription records. Player Portal never stores your card number — payments are processed by Stripe. Records of transactions (date, amount, plan) are retained for up to 7 years where tax and accounting law requires it.
  • Crash and diagnostic logs. Retained for up to 90 days, then automatically deleted.
  • Backups. Deleted data can persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before those backups roll off.
  • Team records. Content that belongs to a team rather than to you — for example a game score or an event a coach created — may remain with that team, with your personal details removed.
  • Aggregated data that can no longer identify you may be retained indefinitely.
